Here’s hoping that you’re doing alright during these challenging times. It’s been a challenging time for me, so I assume it’s the same way for most. Some people have more challenges than others. We’re not in the same boat, but we’re in the same storm, so they say. (Whoever the heck “they” are.)

One of the things I’m hoping will happen is that things we’ve considered “normal” will be seen to be in need of change. Perhaps folks will develop a good dollop of respect for the people who continue to have to work with the public each and every day of this pandemic. Grocery store workers. Personal support workers (PSWs). Delivery folks. Paramedics, doctors, nurses, and all other healthcare workers. Janitors, cleaners, fast-food workers, and the folks who we generally under-appreciate most of the time.

Another thing that will probably change is how much businesses rely on their online presence. Walk-in traffic has been decimated due to the pandemic so being able to connect with customers and prospects online has become even more important. I suspect companies that made the investment in creating strong online presences and permission-based email marketing databases will weather this storm better than those who are in the position of playing catch-up.

The best time to plant a tree was 50 years ago. If you haven’t planted that tree yet, the next best time to do it is now. So too with your online presence. You can always improve it today. No need to wait. If you’re not sure what you can do, I’d be happy to be your guide. I’ll help you bail out your boat and get you sailing online.

Here’s to a better “normal” going forward! 🙂
