But that doesn’t mean there was no business being done.

Rare are those businesses where every single person who works there doesn’t have to think about the business on their day off. Few are the days that a business owner or entrepreneur hasn’t a single thought about their business. It’s probably always been that way, but now that we have the internet, we can do business 24/7/365.

For those of you who run businesses, I encourage you to take a few moments on your day off to have a quick look at your online presence. Here are a couple of things you can do that don’t take much time:

  • Visit your company’s website. Check it out on your mobile phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. How does it feel to you on those different devices?
  • While you’re there, see if there’s any content that’s outdated. It happens all the time.
  • Also check for broken links, either to your own content or to someone else’s.
  • Have a quick look at your company’s social media profiles on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, or anywhere else your brand is being represented. How are things?

You know you’re going to think about work on your day off. So, try and keep it light and just check out your company’s online presence. If you think it needs work, tell the folks at the office the next day. If there’s nobody at the office who’s responsible, please feel free to give me a call. 905-227-6667 🙂
