So you’ve been nominated for an award. Good for you! What a great opportunity to create some content for your online marketing program!

The great thing about being nominated for an award is you don’t actually have to win to talk about it. Just being nominated is good. If you win, that’s great! If you don’t, then showing you’re a graceful non-winner is a good thing as well.

You can get a few posts out of this. The first is when you hear of the nomination. Next is perhaps a week prior to the award presentation. The last can be with the result. If you’re the winner, then make a post that thanks everyone who helped you with the achievement. Don’t take all the credit, because most of the time winning something is a team effort.

If you didn’t win, then congratulate the winner (try to get a photo with them) and express gratitude that you were in such great company. Again, how you handle not winning shows a lot about your character.

There you go! Four posts about different ways you can use different events to inspire your content creation efforts. What did you think? Let us know in the comments section below!
