As I wrote previously, The Web For Business.com was selected by the Thorold BIA to be the “Digital Service Squad” for Thorold BIA members who are applying for a Digital Transformation Grant. This grant is being made available through the Government of Ontario, in partnership with the Ontario BIA Association. If you’re a member of a BIA anywhere in Ontario, you can apply for this one-time $2500 grant. See https://digitalmainstreet.ca for more details.

The deadline for this grant application was December 31, 2019. For those who are working on their digital transformation plans, you may be interested to know there’s been a deadline extension. Applications are now due by January 10, 2020.

It’s important to note there are still a finite number of grants available. If the grant program has awarded all the grants by December 31st, the deadline extension won’t help you. However, if you’re in a time crunch like many businesses are at this time of year, then this might be helpful for you.

If you are part of a BIA anywhere in Ontario, I strongly encourage you to apply for this grant. There are a few hoops to jump through, but I think they’re reasonable. The digital training videos and quizzes take time to watch and complete but they’re informative and have valuable information for business owners. If you’re wondering whether this grant is right for you, visit the Digital Main Street website to learn more about it.

Happy grant writing!
